The Experience
Experience the thrill of flight with a 30 Minute Flying Lesson in Hull, and discover what it feels like to pilot a real aircraft.
You’ll start with a detailed safety briefing, where your instructor explains the aircraft’s controls and how the lesson will run. Once ready, you’ll board a two-seater Cessna 150 and take off for a 30-minute flight. With your instructor beside you, you’ll learn how to handle the aircraft and maintain steady flight. Each movement helps build your confidence and control.
As you fly, you’ll enjoy breath-taking views of the surrounding landscape. Beverley Airfield operates outside controlled airspace, making it an ideal location for flight training. Every instructor is certified under Civil Aviation Authority standards, ensuring your experience is both professional and enjoyable.
When you land, you’ll receive a short debrief and can discuss your progress with your instructor. If you decide to continue learning, your time in the air can count toward your future pilot training hours.
Important Information
There’s no strict age limit for this flying lesson, as anyone with an interest in aviation can take part. However, we recommend a minimum age of 16 to ensure participants are comfortable with the controls and can fully enjoy the experience.

The Weather
As with all outdoor experiences, you may have to call the location a day before your experience takes place, in order to confirm your flying experience.

What To Wear
Dress comfortably and wear flat-soled shoes. Bring sun block in summer. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
